Gratitude Challenge

When you start your self development journey everyone would have come across the concept gratitude and its benefits.

Let’s make this one easy and instead of creating a gratitude journal, lets simply say thank you each morning when you wake up and every night before bed.

I’m gonna start now, I’ll let you know how it goes. Join me and lets see what changes it brings.

Findings

Only until I tried, I didn’t know how hard it was to do such a simple task consistently. I have tried this a few times, forgetting on certain days. With the task being so simple it was easy to forget. However, each time I try feel like I am getting better and better at it.

When I start of my day with a Thank you, I felt those days went a bit smoother, as just by remembering to say Thank you when I woke up, I made a conscious decision that I would be grateful for whatever I were to face. It gave me strength to get out of my bed that bit faster and the momentum to start my day of right.

On those days where I remembered to say Thank you before bed, I noticed myself falling asleep much faster. I consciously brought to my mind what I had to be thankful for and drifted of to sleep.

With there being a difference when done inconsistently, I wonder what would be the outcome when done consistently.
